Cornhill Market Place & surrounding streets Stroud Farmers Market has won multiple awards and is well known as one of the biggest, busiest and most popular farmer’s market in the UK.

Located on George Street in the centre of Stroud, The Sub Rooms is a hub, Stroud’s home for creativity and joy. It is a unique venue providing an innovative programme of music, dance, theatre, visual arts, spoken word, exhibitions and workshops.

Woodchester Mansion is an unfinished Gothic revival mansion house, Grade I listed building and designed by the architect Benjamin Bucknall who also built our hotel. The estate is steeped in woodland with stunning lakes and well worth a visit.

Painswick is a stunning village and a short drive from the hotel. It has local country pubs and a beautiful shop, Meadows with a romantic and feminine collection inspired by Victoriana, prairie-style, and folklore. Nailsworth is a bigger village filled with restaurants and independent shops. We love Raffles wine shop and The Tipputs Inn just up the road in Horsley.
